Evaluation: In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

This shows intertextuality for the opening of Jay Z and Kanye West- In Paris and our own music video. It opens similarly with the names of the artists followed by the name of the song.

As both these songs have a similar rhythmic pattern at a point in a song they both illustrate the lyrics being said at the time. The video also shows the performer pointing to the words as they are being said, as if to engage the audience.

As Little Mix was our main influence we watched there video closely and tried to follow some conventions used. For example the use of spilt screens and coloured backgrounds was taken. Also to contrast Laura Mulvey and this video our artists do not dress to appeal for the 'male gaze' and contradict this by mainly being in the androgynous look.

ALL PRODUCTION WORK COMPLETE!

That time has come! And it feels amazing! I can barely contain my excitement! It has been a fun learning experience but I most certainly can not hide the relief I feel now that the production of both the music video and the ancillary products are complete. Having consumed 96% of my life, it is nice to eventually see the end product and feel a sense of pride for my work. I have learnt so much over the past 5 months, my head could explode. But the creative journey isn't quite over yet as I have now got to prepare myself to plan for the Evaluation. So in the true media spirit, all i can say is BRING IT ON!

Final Products of ancillary

My final product for my advert followed the same layout as my mock up. I followed the same layout that I saw in a magazine for another group. I made a few changes from the original that I posted, for example some of Renee's hair got cut off, so I added the white banner across the top with the album name. This was beneficial to my product as it made the album name stand out and also matched the colour scheme of the white box at the bottom. To make the actual album cover stand out I added a border around it and also made it a bit bigger than it was before.
