How singles and albums are promoted through ancillary work

This Rihanna album not only sticks to the convention of having the album with a close up of the artist, but also shows examples how they have stuck to a key theme from an existing music video from the artist. This is done through the distinctive photography from the music video as well as a stong colour scheme of reds and greens.

This particular ancillary piece is different to most other examples as instead of being solely for the album it is for a specific single. It still however follows the normal conventions as the Artist name is the biggest then followed by the name of the song. Another thing that makes this piece stand out is that although it is to promote a single it also has a picture of the artists actuall album cover on the back.
