Janelle Monae
Janelle Monae Robinson is a Grammy nominated American R&B / Soul singer born on 1st December 1985 in Kansas City , America. She says she has always dreamed of being a singer since a young age and sites Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz as one of her biggest musical influences. Janelle is signed to Bad Boy Records and Atlantic Records ( Estelle is signed to this label also) and has been active since 2003 , however Robinson did not receive worldwide recognition until her 2010 single 'Tightrope' featuring Bad Boi which was ranked by Rolling Stones magazine as the eighth best song of 2010 from then on Janelle made her mark in the music industry and continues to work with big names such as Fun and Ceelo Green.
