PLANNING: influence from audience research


Doing this audience research helped us to make decisions on what to include in the video and how it can reach its target audience. The group of girls that we interviewed ranged from the age of 13 - 14 and spoke about what they expected to see from a video and an artist.

They mentioned that with pop stars, there is usually:

-lots of colour, colourful outfits
- they usually take being different and unique to the extreme like the OMG girlz

this insight helped us to decide on one of the looks which will be a funky 'geek-chic' look with lots of bright neon colours. I also decided to look into the way the OMG girlz dress and took inflence from their look and incorporated it into my own.







They also mentioned the idea of an urban feel in the video with different colour backgrounds, which helped to finalise the decision to use graffiti backgrounds to create an urban colourful theme.


I also asked on Facebook what people would expect from a pop video.
