PLANNING: elements taken from other videos

Whilst trying to create our storyboard, we started looking at other videos for inspiration on how to structure our own. All of these screenshots are elements that have inspired the way that we would like to construct our video, in terms of shots, editing and mise en scene!

Like in  Busta Rhymes' 'make it clap', we would like to use shots of people clapping, in unison, and solo in order to mirror the rhythm of the song.

This image is one we came across as a group when looking on Youtube. The outfit worn by the artist is similar to one of the costumes that we would like to recreate in our video. This style of tie is what we intend to use.

We like the use of split screen showing two different looks and backgrounds, and we may incorporate this into our videos.

The idea of writing part of the lyrics on the screen seemed very unique and intriguing, so at a point in the song (preferably the chorus) we hope to include this.

This is an example of how we want to open our video, with the name of the song and the artists, combined with the background. We think this will be effective and is something we haven't seen done before in a student video.
